Dover Demon

A small, big-headed creature with glowing orange eyes seen over two nights in 1977.

On the night of April 21, 1977, 17-year-old Bill Bartlett was driving through Dover, Massachusetts when he saw a thin, pale creature with a huge watermelon-shaped head and glowing orange eyes crawling along a stone wall. Two more teenagers reported the same creature that night and the next.

Bartlett's sketch became one of the most recognisable images in cryptozoology.
