Fresno Nightcrawlers are white, legs-only figures seen on home security footage, often described as a pair of pants out for a walk. They seem to have a tiny head and body sitting directly on long legs, and tend to appear in pairs.
The first clip was recorded in south Fresno in 2007 and shown on Univision. More footage followed from Yosemite Lakes Park in 2011. The TV show Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files gave them their name and could not prove the footage was faked. Skeptic Brian Dunning calls them an urban legend nobody truly believes in, yet they have become a beloved Fresno mascot, with T-shirts, toys and murals.
