Skinwalker Ranch

Also called Skin walker, Sherman Ranch, UFO Ranch, Skinwalker Ranch Utah

A Utah ranch famous for claims of UFOs, orbs, strange animals and cattle mutilations.

Skinwalker Ranch is a roughly 512-acre property in Utah's Uintah Basin, an area with UFO reports going back to the 1970s. In 1996 the Sherman family told the Deseret News of glowing orbs, mutilated cattle, a huge wolf that bullets could not hurt, and lights in the sky.

That year businessman Robert Bigelow bought the ranch for his National Institute for Discovery Science, and researchers logged around 100 odd incidents. The Defense Intelligence Agency later funded related work through a program called AAWSAP. Today the ranch is the setting of a TV series.

The name comes from the skin-walker of Navajo tradition. Navajo people generally do not discuss skin-walkers with outsiders and many object to the casual use of the word, so this page covers only the ranch.
