Four sailors see a serpent near Simcoe Island
Cape Vincent, New York
Four men sailing from Wolfe Island said they saw a serpent about 80 feet long near Simcoe Island. Across the river in Cape Vincent the lawyer, customs collector and town supervisor debated the story at the post office, and three men set off to try to catch it.
