The 'gorilla' of the South Mountain
Pen Mar, Maryland
For weeks papers reported a big ape, said to have escaped from a circus, in the mountains of southern Pennsylvania. A man walking through a field between Pen Mar and Rouzerville said he saw it in bright sunshine, and it was reported again near Dam No. 4 on the Potomac.
