Cartersville, Georgia
Sheep, hogs and calves were found dead with only a small stab-like wound under the throat. A farmer hiding in his corn lot at dawn shot at a dark copper animal with a sharp, possum-like head and bead eyes as it crept, cat-like, up to a sleeping calf.

Cripple Creek, Colorado
Cripple Creek said the airship passed over on Sunday, and a man found a note on his barn roof claiming to come from three occupants, two Bostonians and a Frenchman, who had lost control and were drifting without water.
